1. Tap Drums above the grid. Play the beat and try each kit — the pattern stays the same, only the sound changes.
  2. Tap a row's name → Sound to choose what it plays: kicks, snares, hats, cymbals, toms, percussion — or one of your own sounds from the Sampler. Choosing plays it.
  3. Tune moves a sound higher or lower; Length makes it shorter and tighter.
  4. Effects on one drum: in Drums, each drum's Effects button gives it effects of its own — a room on the snare, grit on the kick — before the effects on the whole beat. Up to four drums can have their own.
  5. Add a drum gives you another row — open hat, toms, crash — up to 16.

Four kits are recordings of real drums: Acoustic (a rock kit in a room), Jazz (brushes and a sizzle ride), Vintage (a dry, tight early-'70s kit for funk and soul) and Studio (a modern kit, clear and punchy). The rest are drum machines and electronic kits.
