- Not sure where to start? Mix It for Me (top of Song → Mix) sets a starting mix: the drums forward, the bass under them, your voice on top, a little room, a fade at the end. Then move anything you like.
- Start with everything a little quieter than you think, then bring the most important thing up — usually the vocal or the melody.
- Pan: keep kick, bass, snare and vocal in the middle; spread chords, hats and extras a little left and right.
- Solo shows what one instrument really sounds like; Mute shows what the song sounds like without it.
- The Beat is one strip: its Volume moves every drum together, keeping their balance, and Solo and Mute cover the whole kit. Each Drum opens them one by one.
- Room (in each Effects, and its size in Song → Mix) puts everything in the same space. A little on chords and vocals goes a long way.
- Song's Echo works the same way: one echo the whole song shares, in time with the song. Send a little of the vocal or a lead to it in its Effects, and choose how long (a dotted 1/8 is the classic) and how many repeats in Song → Mix. (Delay, in the effects list, is an echo on that one instrument.)
